On March 27, 2025, I got a notification from TikTok telling me that I had unlocked the ‘live’ feature on the app. I was somewhat confused, as I was sure you needed 1,000 followers to unlock that feature, and I had a measly 100+ followers. I looked up the requirements on TikTok’s support page, and sure enough, one requirement is 1,000 followers and did not have that. Still curious, I went back to the app and clicked the notification. The app took me to the live portion of the app and according to my records, I went live for 26 minutes, titled “Untitled LIVE.” That same day I went live 4 more times.
I loved it, there is something about interacting with viewers that really got me excited. I then started trying to figure out how to stream Fortnite through TikTok, because I played everyday, might as well try and stream it now that it was available.
That had awoken something in me. I have fallen in love with going live. I have repeat viewers that come say ‘hi’ and I believe I have actually mad a difference in some of my followers. Many people have told me that I give out good energy and just wanna hang out. I have had many fun times going live, and I will continue to do it until TikTok takes it from me. But, this has also given me an opportunity to try and be a ‘streamer.’ With the help of photos I have taken, and AI, I have transformed my image into a retro pixel vibe that is now my streaming brand, if you will, and maybe one day I will make some money doing the things I was already doing anyway…🤷🏻♂️
